Well hopefully 2021 brings us more 4000 sailing than 2020. With the government having released its roadmap out of lockdown and the clubs now working to this, we're hoping to be able to travel to events again from the 17th May, so our first planned event is Grafham at the end of that month. Our Nationals this year will be at the Torbay Dinghy Regatta at the start of October, and will be a 3 day event; we're just finalising whether that will be the weekend + Monday or + Friday, so all 4 days are shown for the moment. Whilst we've left the Euros and French and Italian Nats in the programme, travel will probably be restrictive, so we're finalising a UK venue for the same week as the Euros in August so that you can book the week off either way. Hopefully see you on the water soon!
We have recently created an Instagram account so we can share more pictures and videos of our sailing. Follow the link at the top of page to check it out.
2021 has continued to be a difficult year for UK sailing, with many events cancelled due to Covid or bad weather, including the Uk nationals, but we are resilient! This Summer UK 4000 sailors have been able to get to numerous events, Camel week, Stone week ,the Grafham Belle, Lymington regatta, and the 4000 Italian Nationals ( our top sailors achieving 2nd) to name a few.
Looking forward to the rest of the year, we will be attending the Plymouth final fling in October and the Queen Mary Open in November. The class is in currently in the process of assembling the 2022 calendar, which will include inland, costal and training events.
